Emergency Management Port Console
Status Bar
The status bar displays at the bottom of the current window. It contains the following
status information:
n
SERVER NAME
: the name of the server (stored in the Phonebook).
n
LINE
: the type of line connection. This would be either direct or modem.
n
MODE
: either Redirect of EMP, depending on whether the EMP has control of the
COM 2 port.
n
LINE STATUS
: gives status information on the server connection. For example, if
a server is connected, the status bar says "Connected." Otherwise, the line is blank.

Exit
- Exits the EMP.
n
Connect
Disconnect
- disconnects the server connection.
[Re]Connect - raises the connect dialog.
A list of the five most recent connections - can click on one of the five servers
most recently connected to. A connection to the selected server is initiated.
n
Action
Power On/Off
- powers the server on or off with post-power-up options.
Reset
- resets the server with post-reset options.
SEL Viewer
- opens the SEL viewer.
SDR Viewer
- opens the SDR viewer.
FRU Viewer
- opens the FRU viewer.
Phonebook
- opens the phonebook dialog.

Help -
provides version information and help topics for the EMP.
