Chapter 2 Preparations
2.3.2 Installing the Rack-mount Model to the Tower Conversion Kit
Follow the procedure below to install the devices to the tower conversion kit.
CAUTION
Be sure to observe the following precautions to use the server safely. Failure to
observe the precautions may cause burns, injury, and property damage. For
details, see
Safety Precautions and Regulatory Notices .

Do not drop the server.

4U chassis weighs about 15 kgs. At least two persons are required to install
it.

CPU/IO module weighs about 18 kgs. At least two persons are required to
install it.

Do not leave the CPU/IO module of the server being pulled out.

Do not install the CPU/IO module with its cover removed.

Do not install the CPU/IO module while the lock of caster is released.

Do not get your fingers caught.
1. Open the front door of the tower conversion kit.
Note If the door is locked, use the provided security key to unlock.
