Software Control
A MS-Windows
®
(PC) interface (GUI) application is available for setting-up the param-
eters of all the available processes of the NEAR 7XL. This can be downloaded from the
NEAR website at:
www.nearspeakers.com/7XL
Once downloaded, proceed to install by executing the set-up file.
The GUI operates through an Ethernet connection with the fixed IP address for the
amplifier:
192.168.000.100
Once the PC is connected to the amplifier using the Ethernet cable, launch the GUI
application and the following
Main Window
will appear.

By first clicking on the
Connect
pull down on the upper left corner of the window, and
then by clicking on the
Connect
tab, the following
Select Port
window will open:
First enter the
Amplifier’s IP Address
into the
Select Port
window and click
OK
; the
GUI
will then connect.
