Connection Example 1 If Using a PC as the Higher-level Host to Control the Unit

Set the terminating resistor settings of all units to be connected to the repeater hub to “ON”.
Factory default settings for the connector type are set to "ON".

If connecting to a PC, it is necessary to use a serial converter to convert the serial
communication of the RS-485 to make the connection.

The above shows an example when connecting a EPU-210-B. When connecting a EPU-
220-B to the repeater hub, please refer to the
EPU-220 instruction manual.

Install a terminating resistor (120 Ω) between communication line terminals "D+" and "D-"
on the serial converter side.

Be sure to use the cables for a repeater hub with a maximum extension of less than 30 m (98 ft).
