SET DEFROST OPTIONS
(Supervisor Mode Only)
The Shoppertron has a built-in defrost cycle to assure that ice does not build up
on the evaporator coil. Under extremely warm and humid conditions, it may be
necessary to adjust the defrost timing (see unscheduled defrosts below).
1.
Follow the steps in "Gain Access to the Supervisor Mode" on page 17.

day that the defrost cycle operates. Press
to change the value of X.

XX represents how many minutes the defrost cycle operates. Press
to change the value of XX.

2 > NORM is a running total of the number of Unscheduled Defrosts the
compressor has performed since July 8 at 4:28. The time is in 24 hour for-
mat.
The controller monitors the compressor operation and may determine that a
defrost cycle is necessary in addition to the regularly scheduled defrost. If
more than 3 unscheduled defrosts occur per month, check that the door
seals properly. If no air leak is apparent, the scheduled defrost cycle can be
increased in rate or duration as in steps 2 and 3 above.
If desired, press
to reset the counter to 0 and the counter date and
time to the present.
