binary image An image in which the pixels have only one of two intensity values.
Objects in the image usually have a pixel intensity of 1 (or 255), and
the background has a pixel intensity of 0.

CCD Charge Coupled Device. A chip that converts light into electronic signals.

DIP switch Dual Inline Package switch.
Direct Drive lighting
controller A lighting controller integrated into some models of the National
Instruments smart camera that can directly power current-controlled lights.

target to a network port or between the development computer and the
