Multiline Interface Messages
This appendix lists the multiline interface messages and describes the mnemonics and messages
that correspond to the interface functions.
The multiline interface messages are commands defined by the IEEE 488 standard. The
messages are sent and received with ATN asserted. The interface functions include initializing
the bus, addressing and unaddressing devices, and setting device modes for local or remote
programming. For more information about these messages, refer to the ANSI/IEEE Standard
488.1-1987,
IEEE Standard Digital Interface for Programmable Instrumentation
.
