The power source is not properly connected. Refer to the

ar Does Not Move The Motor
This issue has two possible causes and solutions:
•
The DIP switches are not properly configured. Refer to
Step 3: Configure the DIP Switches
in the
Hardware Installation and Configuration
section to troubleshoot DIP switch
settings.
•
The DIP switches were changed but the drive was not power cycled. Power cycle the drive
and try again.
The Motor Gets Hot When Idle
Current reduction is disabled. Enable current reduction. Refer to the
section
in the
Hardware Installation and Configuration
section for instructions on enabling.
The Motor Moves Backwards
To reverse the motor rotation direction, do one of the following:
•
Switch A– with A+
•
Switch B– with B+
•
Switch A–, A+ with B–, B+

The P7000 Software Does Not Detect the Drive
This issue has two possible causes and solutions:
•
Verify that the drive is connected to a COM port on the computer and that the COM port
settings are correct as described in
Step 6: Configure the P7000 Drive with the Serial Port
Hardware Installation and Configuration
section.
•
Power is not properly connected. Verify that the green LED is on and verify that power is
properly connected as described in
Step 5: Connect Power to the P7000 Drive
in the
Hardware Installation and Configuration
section.
