Hardware Installation and Configuration
You can configure the P7000 series stepper drives using the external DIP switches or with
software through the RS-232 port. If you have an NI stepper motor, you can configure the drive
and motor using only the DIP switches. If you have a third-party motor, you must use the
P7000 Tools configuration software.
Note
This document assumes you have already installed your NI 9512 C Series
module and all required software to the host computer. Refer to the
