The app does not recognize the kit.

Make sure the LED lamp is blinking.

Push the power button to reset, or disconnect the kit from
another app.
Where can I check kit software(firmware) information?
For Student app, go to 'Settings' > 'Kit Information', then check 'Kit Software'.
For Instructor app, go to 'Link' tab, then choose the kit you wish to check the information for further details.
