Check the Touchpad indicators.
The green
STATUS
light must be ON-STEADY, and the LCD window will
read "
SYSTEM READY
", indicating that the system is ready to arm.
•
If the green
STATUS
light is off and zones are scrolling in the display, a perimeter zone is faulted or a
monitored deadbolt (other than your primary exit door) is unlocked (if the primary exit door is unlocked,
the LCD window will read "
DOOR UNLOCKED
"). Check the open zones listed and close the door, window,
or lock the deadbolts as needed. If you cannot immediately secure the zones or lock the deadbolts, they
may be bypassed (see page 12).

Press the AWAY button.
The Touchpad will voice prompt the correct action.
•
If you change your mind after pressing
AWAY
, press
RESET
to clear arming.

Open the door, exit and close the door
. The exit delay period, during which you can safely exit the prem-
ises, is 60 seconds in length by default, but can be changed by your installer if desired.

Lock the deadbolt
from the outside to arm the system. The Touchpad will sound one chirp to indicate the
system is armed.
•
After pressing
AWAY
, if the deadbolt has not been locked within the exit delay time, the system will re-
vert back to a disarmed state.
•
After pressing
AWAY
, if the system detects movement inside the premises during the exit delay time, it
will automatically revert to
Stay mode
, providing perimeter protection with the interior protection such as
interior motion sensors turned off. (See
ARMING STAY
on page 8).
Note:
If you lose your deadbolt key, see page 24 for activating a special "Lost Key Mode".
If you are leaving with no other family members remaining home:
Listen for the voice prompt
, "Please exit and lock door to Arm System". The LCD window will read "
EXIT
AND LOCK DOOR TO ARM-AWAY
", starting the exit delay period .
