DRAINING THE ENGINE OIL
STANDARD DRAINING:
1. Start the engine and let it warm few minutes to
render oil more fluid to ease suction.
2. Stop the engine and remove the key from the panel.
3.
Open the side oil filler to ease up draining.
4. Drain all used oil out from the pan.
5. Disconnect the oil drain pump and replace the cap
on the drain pipe.
6.
Thighten drain plug to specifications :
• Plug with copper washer : 70 Nm (52 lb.-ft.).
• Plug with O ring : 50 Nm (37 lb.-ft.).

Draining with external oil pump:
Oil draining may also be performed through an external
pump connected to the oil check dipstick duct.

MAINTENANCE
CHANGING THE OIL FILTER
Replace the oil filter every time the engine oil is drained.
1.
Remove the oil filter (
A
) with a filter wrench tool.
Turn the filter counter-clockwise (CCW). Remove the
gasket.
2.
Apply clean engine oil to the new filter at the inner (B)
and outer (
C
) seals and to filter threads.
3. Wipe both sealing surfaces of the header (
D
,
E
) with
a clean cloth. Ensure that the notches in dust seal
(
F
) are properly installed in the slots of the housing.
Replace

Install and tighten oil filter by hand until firmly
againstdust seal (
F
). DO NOT apply an extra 3/4 to
1-1/4 turn after gasket contact as done with standard
filters.Tighten drain plug to specifications :
5. Start the engine and let it operate few minutes at idle.
Check if the oil pressure warning lamp turns off.
6. Stop the engine, wait for the engine to cool down and
check the oil level. Top up if necessary.
