Replacing the Joystick Potentiometers
1. Remove the Joystick Assembly.
2.
Remove 4off pozi head self tapping screws and remove the potentiometer
bracket complete with potentiometer.
3.
Remove the set screw using the hex wrench (diagonal
1
/
16
inch) supplied, and
remove the group follower. (The diagram below shows the horizontal direction
potentiometer, but the vertical direction potentiometer can be removed in the
same way).
4.
Remove the potentiometer nut, washer, spacer and bracket.
5.
Replace the potentiometer and reassemble in reverse order.
•
When replacing the Group Follower or Group Rider, ensure that the set screw
engages on the flat of the potentiometer shaft.
•
When refitting the horizontal direction potentiometer, align the universal joint with
the grooves in the group follower and joystick.
After replacing, always check the operation and settings.
