Power on/off
1. To turn the unit on, press the Power button.
Pressing the Tuner Mode button will also acti-
vate the unit in the tuner mode. Inserting a CD
will activate the unit in the CD mode.
2. To turn the unit off, press and hold the Power
button for at least two seconds.
Muting
1. When the Mute button is pressed while the unit
is on, the indication "
MUTE
" appears on the dis-
play and the volume level is cut back instantly.
2. To release the muting condition, press the Mute
button once more or turn the Volume controller

Turning the Volume controller clockwise raises the
volume and turning the Volume controller coun-
terclockwise decreases it. The indication "
VOL
"
appears on the display.
- A short beep tone sounds to show that the vol-
ume level is zero.
