Troubleshooting

In case of an apparent malfunction, please check the following points.

If the problem persists, contact your dealer or an authorized service station.

Countermeasure

Check the fuses.

Eject any CD already inside the unit.

Insert CD with the label facing up.

Check all connections.

Clean the CD.

Check antenna connection.

If a window antenna is used, make sure that the antenna
booster is operating.

Connect ground cable securely.
Choose a different ground point.

Check whether the car battery is exhausted.
Push the reset button.

CD changer/CD player error messages

When a problem is detected in a connected CD changer or the internal CD player, an error message as

shown below is displayed. Try the indicated countermeasures.

If the problem persists, contact an authorized service station.

Error message

NO DISC

Meaning

No CD is inserted.
(MB-70, MB-600, MF-51, MF-31 etc.)

Disc tray is in the extended position, or no
CD is inserted.
(MB-9, MB-7, 100mb etc.)

No magazine is inserted, or no CD is in-
serted.
(CDC-111, 100cdc etc.)

CD is inserted upside down.

CD is very dirty.

CD is scratched or otherwise damaged.

Unit has become non-functional for some
reason.

Countermeasure

Load one or more CDs.

Close the disc tray or load CDs.

Insert the disc magazine or load
CDs.

Insert CD correctly.

Clean the CD.

Use a different CD.

Switch the program source, press
the eject button, or turn the unit off.
If this does not remove the problem,
press the reset button.

E-DISC

E-MECHA

Condition

Unit cannot be turned on.

CD cannot be inserted.

CD is ejected immediately.

Cannot playback.

Dropouts, mistracking or skipping

occurs even with slight vibrations.

No radio reception possible.

Ignition noise is heard during broad-
cast reception.

Controls cannot be operated.
Malfunction occurs.
