Charging the battery
• Plug the DC connector of the mains charger into the 9 V charger socket
(7).
• Make sure that the mains voltage is the same as that stated on the rating
plate of the charger.
• Plug the mains charger (16) into a wall socket. The red LED (4) will light as
long as charging is in progress and go out when the battery is fully charged.
• The charging time is 3–5 hours for a discharged battery. It is normal for
the battery to get hot while it is being charged.
• If the charging is unsuccessful, check that the wall is working with another
home appliance.
• The service life of the battery can be prolonged by ensuring that it is
always charged in time. It needs to be charged as soon as the performance
of the machine drops.
• Make sure that the battery never becomes fully discharged. This can
shorten the service life of the battery.
