Ice Machine Cleaner or Sanitizer.
Cleaning Procedure
Ice machine cleaner is used to remove lime scale and mineral deposits.
It can
not
be used to remove algae and slime.
Refer to sanitization procedure
on the
following page
s
for removal of algae
and slime.
Mix
1 gallon
of water and
21oz
of sanitizer together in plastic or stainless steel container.
Step 1.
Set the switch
to the
off
position
after
the
ice
h
arvest cycle.
Or, set the switch
to the
off
position
and allow
h
arvest
cycle to
finish
automatically.
Caution!
Never use anything to force ice off the evaporator. Damage may result.
Step 2.
Remove all ice from the bin. (

Warning!
Disconnect
the
power to ice machine at the
circuit board
before proceeding.
Step 3.
Remove parts for cleaning.

front and side of the

trough.
Disassemble the Ice
d
amper,

ater
trough
and
w
ater
d
istribution
t
ube
by removing
the
screws.
Step 4.
Soak all components into a solution of
1 gallon
of cleaner and water mixture.
Use a nylon brush or cloth to clean the components thoroughly. Soak the parts
for 15~20 minutes for heavily scaled parts. Shake the parts occasionally.
Lukewarm water is
preferred
for cleaning. Rinse all parts and components
thoroughly with clean water.
