8. Check that the pick-up wand and resin return hose are secure in the resin source.
9. Check that the catalyst pump is set to the proper percentage.
10. Close the return valve on the catalyst material manifold.
11. Check that the catalyst recirculation valve is set to recirculation mode with the handle
pointin down and the purge selector is set to BPO with the handle pointing towards the
catalyst tank.
12. Turn pump regulator counterclockwise to zero.
13. Open the main air supply slide valve on the back of the control unit.
14. Test the solvent flush by connecting the injection hose to the MPG into an appropriate
container and pressing the flush button.
15. Check for leaks in the flush system and correct as necessary.
16. Set catalyst tank regulator to about 25 psi (1.5 bar).
17. Press the recirculation button on the control panel and then slowly turn the pump regulator
up until the pump is cycling slowly and evenly.
18. Check for leaks on both materials – you should see resin returning to the source through the
recirculation hose.
19. Press the
Stop
button.
20. The unit is ready for injection.
Daily Shut Down
21. Thoroughly flush the injection head with solvent by pressing the flush button.
22. Press the
Recirculation
button.
23. While recirculating, turn the pump regulator counterclockwise to zero.
24. Open the return valve on the catalyst material manifold.
25. Press the
Stop
button to close the recirculation gun.
26. Turn the pressure on the catalyst tank counterclockwise to zero.
27. Close the main air supply slide valve on the back of the control cabinet.
28. Release the catalyst tank pressure.
Note
It is important not to leave the catalyst under pressure while the unit is not
running. If the unit is going to sit idle for more than two days, purge the catalyst
and resin out of the hoses and pumps.
Weekly Shut Down
After following the normal daily shut down, weekly include the following steps as well.
29. Remove the resin filter tank and thoroughly clean the filter screen.
30. Carefully unscrew the resin surge chamber from the filter body and thoroughly clean the
cylinder.
31. Check for damaged parts and repair or replace as necessary.
