Lubrication - Apply a slight and uniform film of
lubricant over the whole length of the drive chain,
taking care not to smear the surrounding parts,
and in particular the tyres.
CAUTION
Only use the lubricant specified in the
paragraph 6.3. of this manual, in order
to protect the drive chain and avoid oil
spurts when the vehicle is in motion.
WARNING
Chain lubrication must be performed
according to the intervals specified in
the tables of scheduled maintenance
(see § 6.1.). It is also necessary to per-
form this operation after riding under the
rain and after cleaning the motorcycle.
Riding your motorcycle when the drive
chain is in poor condition or improperly
adjusted can lead to accidents.
