6.6.

Checking the wear of the brake pads

The brake pads have grooves that provide an indication of the wear con-
dition. Periodically check the width of the grooves, making sure it never
falls below the wear limit (1 mm).

WARNING: If the brake pads are excessively worn out, the
effectiveness of the braking system decreases, increasing
the risk of accidents with subsequent serious injury or even
death. If the pads have worn to near the wear limit, have both
pads replaced by your MV Agusta dealer. Never replace just
one pad, the pads must always be replaced in pairs. Ensure
that the new pads are suitably broken in, see § 4.2.
