Handling messages/error messages     83

When the following message is prompted on the MSM, a smartchip error such as broken chip may have occurred in the ink 

cartridge.

Check that the correct color is inserted in the cartridge slot and perform smartchip recovery.

This will allow you to continue to print.

To perform smartchip recovery, do one of the followings according to the message appeared.

• In case of wrong color insertion, load a correct ink color cartridge.

• If color is correct, press the [Enter] key. The printer will perform smart chip 

recovery and will continue to print.

During smartchip recovery execution, the ink cartridge being recovered highlighted in yellow in the S/C Card Information of MSM.
