5.1.26 Start Feed Menu
When Start Feed is set, before printing, the printer rewinds or feeds the media the amount specified by the set
value.
Setup Item
Setting
Description
Start Feed
-10mm to <0mm> to 500mm
Sets the amount to rewind or feed the media before
printing starts.

Value over 0: Feeds the media (with a wider margin
before printing starts).
・
Value equal to 0: Neither rewinds nor feeds the media.
・
Value below 0: Rewinds the media.

[Enter] key: saves the setting and shifts to the previous
menu.

[Cancel] key: cancels the setting and shifts to the
previous menu.

With take-up system: if you want to set “Start Feed” to below 0, set “Page Gap” to “Narrow”.
If not, the Start Feed setting is not reflected properly.

5.1.27 Heater Control Menu
Paper cocklings may occur during printing when heated. This can be minimized by selecting an appropriate setting
as follows.

Select Normal if paper cocklings do not occur.
Fixer
Select Fixer to reduce waiting times before printing and
paper cocklings.
Dryer
Select Dryer to keep the drying performance after
printing when using a Heavy-Duty Take-up Unit and
minimize paper cocklings.
