INSTALLATION

CLEANING

Before cleaning the CD player always turn
off the power at the switch and remove the
mains plug from the wall outlet.  Clean the
housing and the remote control unit using a
moist cloth.  We do not advise the use of
any solvents, white spirit, thinners, etc. as
they could damage the surface finish of the
unit.

AUDIO  CONNECTION

The CD player should be connected to an
amplifier input by cables with RCA/phono
type plugs.  These link the left and right
AUDIO OUTPUT sockets on the rear
panel of the CD player to the CD or auxil-
liary input sockets on the amplifier.  Do
not use any sockets on the amplifier
intended for “vinyl” phono cartridge input,
as the sensitive circuit will overload, pro-
ducing a severely distorted sound.
Alternatively, you can use the DIGITAL
OUTPUTS (coaxial or optical) for connec-
tion to an external digital-to-analogue con-
verter or digital amplifier.

NOTES ON USING COMPACT DISCS

Always hold discs by the edges and make
sure they remain clean.  Do not touch the
surface.  Do not stick any paper or adhe-
sive tape to either side of the disc.  Keep
discs away from direct sunlight and heat
sources, such as radiators.  Do not leave
CDs in a car parked in direct sunlight,
since the temperature inside the car can
become extremely high.  Clean discs with
a cloth before playing them.  Do not use
solvents to clean your compact discs, such
as benzene, thinners, commercially avail-
able cleaners or anti-static spray intended
for analogue discs.  After playing, always
return the disc to its case for storage.

INTRODUCTION

Congratulations on your purchase of a
Nuvista 3D CD player.  The Nuvista 3D
CD uses the very latest up-sampling 24 bit
DAC technology with leading edge circuit
and layout topologies.  Extensive use of
Musical Fidelity’s choke regulation power
supply configuration has ensured that both
technical and musical performance is
unprecedented in any CD player.

In contrast to all other CD players on the
market, the Nu-Vista 3D’s use of innova-
tive circuitry, power supply and up-sam-
pling technology results in removal of all
digital artifacts, distortion, phase shifts and
spurious noise from the audio band, allow-
ing unprecedented performance levels from
“ordinary” CDs.  The Nu-Vista will give
all your CDs a new lease of life, and reveal
a previously unguessed-at level of detail
and ambient retrieval.

The design process of the Nu-Vista 3D CD
has been a passionate, committed labour of
love.  We sincerely hope that it brings you
immense musical pleasure and insight.

INSTALLATION

Place your CD player on a stable, horizon-
tal surface where there is no risk of it
being knocked, or subjected to vibration
such as from loudspeakers.

Protect your CD player from humidity - if
it is moved from a cold place to a warm
room, moisture can form on the pickup
lens inside the player, preventing the laser
beam from reading the disc.  In this case
remove the CD, close the disc compart-
ment, and leave the unit switched on for an
hour or so to allow time for the moisture to
evaporate.
