a . Using wire s t rippers , s t rip t he ru bb er
jacke t f ro m b o t h ends o f ca b le t o reveal
a b ou t 1 5 c m (6 in ) o f t he wires inside .
b. S t rip t he insula t ion f ro m t he ends o f t he
wires .
c . Using a wire cri m per , cri m p u-lugs on t he
ends o f t he wires .

While cri m ping wires , m ake sure you clearly
dis t inguish t he L ive ( “ L”) Wire f ro m o t her wires .
2 . Unscrew t he elec t rical wiring cover and
re m ove i t.
3 . Unscrew t he ca b le cla m p b elow t he t er m inal
b lock and place i t t o t he side .
4 . Ma t ch t he wire colors/la b els wi t h t he la b els on
t he t er m inal b lock , and f ir m ly screw t he u-lug
o f each wire t o i t s corresponding t er m inal .
5 . A ft er checking t o m ake sure every connec t ion
is secure , loop t he wires around t o preven t
rain wa t er f ro m f lowing in t o t he t er m inal .
6 . Using t he ca b le cla m p , f as t en t he ca b le t o t he
uni t. Screw t he ca b le cla m p down t igh t ly .
7 . Insula t e unused wires wi t h PVC elec t rical t ape .
Arrange t he m so t ha t t hey do no t t ouch any
elec t rical or m e t al par t s .
8 . Replace t he wire cover on t he side o f t he uni t ,
and screw i t in place .
