3 . Align f lared pipe end wi t h each valve , and
t igh t en t he f lare nu t as t igh t ly as possi b le b y
hand .
4 . Using a spanner , grip t he b ody o f t he valve .
Do no t grip t he nu t t ha t seals t he service
valve . ( See F i g. 6.10 )

6 . L oosen t he f laring nu t sligh t ly , t hen t igh t en
again .
7 . Repea t S t eps 3 t o 6 f or t he re m aining pipe .
