TARGET HEART RATE PROGRAM
While in Set-Up mode (see Picture 2) and the functions P, MANUAL, PROGRAM, and TARGET H.R. are flashing, press the
PROGRAM
key to select a mode. Once TARGET H.R. is selected the other functions will disappear from the top of the screen. Press

confirm and to enter your information.

to select your age (See Picture 4) and press

to select one of the four options of “55%,” “75%,” “90%,” or “THR” (See Pictures 5-1, 5-2, 5-3, and 5-4)

When “THR” is chosen, the “PULSE” window in the bottom right corner will flash. Press the

DOWN ( - )
buttons to select a
target heart rate value between 70 and 240. Press
ENTER
to confirm.
Press
START/STOP
to begin the program and your workout.
Computer will adjust tension level according to the current heart rate. If the current heart rate is lower than the target heart rate, the
tension will be adjusted up one level every 30 seconds up to level 16. If the heart rate reaches the target heart rate, the tension will
immediately be adjusted down one level. If the current heart rate is over the target heart rate, the tension will be adjusted down one level
every 15 seconds until level 1. In case the user’s current heart rate continues to be higher (or equal to) the target hart rate at level 1 for
30 seconds, the computer will STOP and ALARM will sound as a warning to STOP EXERCISING IMMEDIATELY.
To change the values of the functions “TIME,” “DISTANCE,” “CALORIES,” and “PULSE,” press
START/STOP
to pause the program and
use the same steps to adjust the values as before in Manual mode.
