Modern 14-pole, triple ballraced ROXXY® BL D-series outrunner 

motor. D-series motors feature a third bearing, known as a thin-

ring ballrace, for improved true-running and precision. This stops 

the motor bell from distorting and ensures smoother running. These 

motors require no gearbox due to their construction.  They are highly 

efficient, high-torque motors with a wide power band, capable of 

driving large propellers. 

For electric gliders up to about 3200 g

Scale and sport models up to about 2500 g

Aerobatic and 3-D models up to about 1800 g

 Power LiPo-batteries

-  Select the fixing screws length so that no damage to the motor occurs. 

Use (Loctite 648) thread-lock fluid so that the screws do not loosen 

in use. The thread-lock fluid must not get into the ball bearings.

-  Ensure the outrunner bell runs freely.

-  Do not use damaged propellers.

-  Ensure that neither dirt, water nor metal particles can enter the 

inner workings of the motor.

-  If the motor runs in the wrong direction, swap two the three power 

cables over.

-  Whenever you are installing or otherwise handling the motor or speed control-

ler, be sure to observe the instructions supplied with those units.

- It is also important to study the instructions provided with the LiPo battery 

before using them for the first time.

- Whenever you are working on the model - making adjustments, carrying out 

maintenance etc. - keep well clear of the rotational plane of the propeller, as 

it constitutes an injury hazard. Do not let anybody stand in front of the model 

when the engine is running.

This symbol means that it is essential to dispose of electrical and elec-

tronic equipment separately from the domestic refuse when it reaches the 

end of its useful life. Take your unwanted equipment to your local com-

munal collection point or recycling centre. This applies to all countries of 

the European Union, and to other European countries with separate waste 

collection systems.
