IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always
be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric hazard and injury to persons,
including the following:
• Read all instructions.
• Make sure that the voltage indicated on the rating plate of the appliance
corresponds to your outlet voltage.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the
appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner.
• Unplug from the outlet when not in use, before assembling or disassem-
bling parts and before cleaning.
• To unplug, grasp the plug, and pull from the outlet. Never yank the cord
to disconnect.
• Do not let cord hang over the edge of table or counter, or touch hot
surfaces.
• To protect against electrical shock, do not place this unit, including cord
and plug in water or other liquid. See instructions for cleaning.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• To reduce the risk of injury, use accessory attachments only recom-
mended by the appliance manufacturer.
• The chopping blade is extremely sharp. Handle carefully and keep
out of reach of children.
• To avoid possible injury, do not insert, remove, or touch blades when
plugged into the electrical outlet.
• Be sure cover is securely locked in place before operating the food
processor.
• To avoid all risk of injury, never install the metal blades or discs on the
motor shaft unless the bowl has been locked into position first.
