CARE AND CLEANING
Before cleaning, make sure to remove the power cord from the power outlet.
Base
• Base, Pulse Button, and non-slip rubber feet may be wiped with a damp
cloth. Dry thoroughly.
• Wipe any excess food particles from the power cord.
• Stubborn spots can be removed by rubbing with a damp cloth and a mild,
non-abrasive cleaner.
CAUTION: Do not immerse the Base or the power cord in water or any
other liquid.
Removable Parts (Lid, S-Blade, Bowl)
• To make cleaning easier, rinse the removable parts immediately after use to
prevent food particles from drying.
• Hand wash in warm, soapy water using a mild liquid detergent and a
non-abrasive sponge. If necessary, use a small nylon bristle brush.
• DO NOT use metal or other abrasive cleaning tools or cleansers on any plas-
tic or metal parts. Use only warm soapy water and remove stubborn residue
with a non-abrasive plastic scouring pad or nylon brush.
• All removable parts may occasionally be washed in the dishwasher (top rack
only with the temperature kept below 140°F/60°C), however, washing in the
dishwasher is not recommended on a regular basis, as prolonged exposure to
harsh detergents, hot water, and pressure will damage and shorten the life of
the plastic and the interlock components.
• Blade is extremely sharp; handle carefully. Always use a spatula or brush to
remove food from the blade. If you wash the blade by hand, do so carefully.
• Always allow all parts to dry completely before assembling and using the
appliance again.
