WARNING
Hot components/surfaces.
Risk of burns!
• Allow the engine to cool down to below 50 °C before beginning work.
• Wear suitable protective equipment/thermal gloves.
• Avoid unprotected contact with hot surfaces.
Removing air filter
1.
Loosen clamp (2).
2.
Remove air filter (4) with attached heat
shield (1) and clamp (2) from connecting
flange of intake elbow (3).
3.
Clean connecting flange of intake elbow (3)
and check for obstructions.
4.
Loosen clamps (5) and remove heat shield (1)
from air filter (4).
5.
Check heat shield for damage and replace if
necessary.
Installing air filter
Note:
Heat shield must face towards exhaust pipe bellows.
1.
Install the new air filter in reverse order.
2.
Use torque wrench to tighten screw on clamp (2) to specified tightening torque.
