V. BEFORE FIRST USE

Upon receipt of the goods, check the packaging for integrity and open it. If the packaging is damaged, please contact your
transport company and distributor within 3 days and document the damages as detailed as possible. Do not turn the
package upside down! When transporting the package, please ensure that it is kept horizontal and stable. The various items
used for packaging (cardboard, plastic straps, polyurethane foam) should be conserved, so that the machine can be sent
back to the service centre in the best condition possible in the case of any problems!

VII. PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION

1. Before first use.

•

Make sure that the supply voltage conforms to the voltage indicated on the machine’s name plate.

•

Before each connection of the power supply to the machine check the switch position; the switch must always be in
the “off” (“0”) position. If the switch is in the “on” (“I”) position, the machine will start unintentionally upon energi

-

sing which may lead to an accident!

•

Check the condition of the power cord and plug. If the power cord or plug needs replacement, seek assistance from
a qualified service organisation.

2.

Assembly/disassembly of plates/rotating tool.

Before any assembly/disassembly of the discs, disconnect the machine from the power supply. In case of the machine:

•

MSW-PSM  800  place  them  with  a  spindle  pointing  upwards.  In  order  to  install  the  disc,  place  it  together  with  a
washer, grasp the screw with a wrench and rotate the disc clockwise. When resistance is felt, dismount the wrench.
In order to disassemble the disc, grasp the screw with a wrench and unscrew the disc by rotating it in the counter
clockwise direction by hand.

•

MSW-PM 800 place the disc and rotate it clockwise until the screw starts to rotate. Then, press the spindle lock
and rotate the disc until resistance is felt. In order to disassemble the disc, press the spindle lock and rotate the disc
counter clockwise.

3. Switching on and off.
In order to switch the machine on, move the on/off switch forward and then press the switch to lock it. In order to turn
the machine off, release the on/off switch, and in case it is locked, press it from the rear side and thereby release it. In
order to increase/reduce the motor speed, use the knob located on the rear side of the housing, and set it in one of the
six speed adjustment ranges (1-6).

VIII. MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION

1.

Inspection of the machine

Never use damaged tools. Inspect the machine, together with its instrumentation, before each use.

2.

Inspection of the mounting screws

Regularly inspect all mounting screws and ensure that they are properly tightened. Should any of the screws be
loose, retighten them immediately. Failure to do so could result in serious hazards.

3.

Maintenance of the motor

The rotor of the motor is the very “heart” of the power tool. Exercise due care to ensure the rotor does not
become damaged and/or wet with oil or water.

4.

Always disconnect the machine from the power source before inspecting or repairing it.

5.

Keep the machine clean and pay particular attention to making sure that the vents are not clogged. The vents should
be cleaned after every use of the machine.

6.

Service:

When repairing the machine, use only identical replacement parts. In such case please contact our service centre.
The use of any other part can lead to accidents or damage the tool. Do not attempt to modify tools or create
accessories not recommended. Such activities or reconstructions are not allowed and could result in a hazardous
condition leading to possible serious injury. It will also void the warranty.

IX. TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

Shaking, crashing and turning upside down of the machine should be prevented when transporting it. Store it in a properly
ventilated area with dry air and without any corrosive gas.

X. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

To keep the machine clean, clean it with water mixed with soap using a soft cloth. Do not use brushes or other cleaning
tools that may scratch/damage the machine. Care must be taken in order to prevent water flowing inside the ventilation
slots located on the housing. Ventilation slots should be cleaned using a brush and compressed air.

XI. REGULAR CONTROL OF THE DEVICE

Check the machine regularly for signs of damage. If it is damaged, please stop using it immediately and contact your custo

-

mer service to solve the problem.
What to do in case of a problem?
Please contact your customer service and prepare the following information:

•

Invoice number and serial number (the latter is to be found on the technical plate on the machine).

•

If relevant, take a picture of the damaged, broken or defective part.

•

It will be easier for your customer service clerk to determine the source of the problem if you give a detailed and
precise description of the matter. The more detailed your information, the better customer service will be able to
solve your problem rapidly and efficiently!

CAUTION: Never open the machine without the authorization of your customer service. This can lead to a loss of
warranty!
