The measuring point (MP) is activated automatically at the GC- 05 by addressing the DT 05.
After successful addressing and registration the GC- 05 queries periodically the measuring point of the DT- 05.
The DT- 05 responds to every query of the GC- 05. This reply message is indicated by a blinking pulse of the
status LED at the DT- 05. The cycle time is about 2 to 6 sec. depending on the number of the connected bus
subscribers.
Note:
Due to the great flexibility of the DGC-05 system concerning addressing and configuration there is also the
possibility to assign a DT- 05 address several times. The DGC- 05 system, however, is not able to define the
repeatedly assigned addresses clearly. Therefore it is necessary after commissioning to check in the menu
“Measuring points” of the GC- 05, if all assigned addresses are activated.
5.5 Communication
error
Communication errors at commissioning are nearly always due to mistakes in laying the cables, in connecting to
the terminals and in terminating. Therefore the following checks have to be executed:
•
Bus line reconnected after measurement of the loop resistance?
•
GC- 05 controller in operating mode.
•
Check the operating voltage at the DT-05
(X4, Pin 1 + and Pin 2 -; U min = 15 VDC)
•
Check communication at another DT- 05.
If communication OK here, exchange previous DT- 05.
•
Check bus leads for short-circuit or interruption.
See 5.2
•
Check polarity of the system bus (BUS_A – BUS_B).
See
5.3
•
Check termination.
Terminating resistance of 560 Ohm at the beginning and at the end of the segment.
•
Check cable topology and cable length.
Only line topology <> No branch lines !!
Cable
length

the
load.
