Necessary Tools
A Phillips (crosshead) screwdriver and a flathead
screwdrver, can be used to do most of the nstal-
laton. Choose one wth a magnetc head would be
better.
Plers, can be used as an auxlary tool to connect
some connectors or cables.
Forceps, can be used to pck up tny screws or set
up the jumpers.
Rubber gloves, can prevent yourself from beng
ncsed and sufferng the statc charge.
Safety Precautions
The followng precautons should be observed whle handlng the system:
Place the system on a flat and stable surface.
Do not place the system n envronments subject to mst, smoke, vbraton,
excessve dust, salty or greasy ar, or other corrosve gases and fumes.
Do not drop or jolt the system.
Dsconnect the power supply before performng any nstallaton procedures on
the system.
Do not perform any mantenance wth wet hands.
Prevent foregn substances, such as water, other lquds or chemcals, from
enterng the system whle performng nstallaton procedures on the system.
Use a grounded wrst strap before handlng system components such as CPU,
Memory, HDD, PCI-E card, etc.
Place system components on a grounded antstatc pad or on the bed that
came wth the components whenever the components are separated from the
system.
