Installing a Graphics Card
Before You Begin
Before you begin installing your graphics card, please do the following:
1. Record any serial numbers printed on the card itself.
2. Update your PCIe
™
chipset drivers to the latest vers ion. Consult your
motherboard manual or manufacturer

3. Uninstall the graphics drivers for any previously installed graphics card if
you are installing a new ATI graphics card.
Basic Graphics Card Installation

To install a graphics card
1. Turn off the computer, monitor, and other peripheral devices.
2. Unplug the computer

s power cord and disconnect all cables from the back
of your computer.
3.
Remove the computer cover. If necessary, consult your computer
’
s manual
for help in removing the cover.
