The pin assignment of the RS232B port is given in the following table (see also figure Fig. 109
"SUB-D pin assignment"). Connect the screening to the pin housing.

When a signal event occurs (alarm, fail, the following information is transmitted by default in a
single line through this port to a printer:

The results are printed each time the measurement value exceeds or falls below the alarm
threshold, in the event of a system fail, in the event of a successful manual reset or a signal fail.
The current status of the input is printed out in accordance with the data structure shown in
Figure 113.

Reset Terminal (Reset Latching Alarms)
Latching alarms can be released via terminals 7 and 8 by closing a contact (key, etc.) (same func-
tion as the RESET key on the front panel).
Ethernet
This port is intended to connect the system to an Ethernet network. When this connection is used,
it is possible to access the current measuring values and status informations as well as to synchro-
nize the system internal clock with a time server.
