General safety instructions
This manual is intended to support the use and maintenance of the various systems on the MS
Multi treatment unit. Please read and understand the entire manual before using any of these
systems.
The safe operation of equipment on the treatment unit is the responsibility of the user. All safety
instructions must be complied with before using the various devices on the treatment unit.
NEVER
allow untrained personnel to operate devices.
NEVER
leave devices unattended.
The Multi treatment unit and its accompanying devices have been developed for use on animals;
NEVER
use for other purposes.
Take appropriate precautions (e.g. protective clothing, safety goggles, dust mask, ear defenders,
gloves).
Pulse 50 and Pulse 250:
NEVER
inject liquid into the air.
ALWAYS
point the injection gun in a safe direction.
NEVER
aim at
another person.
ALWAYS
set the On/Off air supply valve on the dosing unit to OFF when the MS Pulse injection
system is not in use. The high-pressure hose and injection gun should also be depressurised.
NEVER
store at temperatures
below 0 °C.
TAKE CARE
The stream of liquid from the P50 and P250 injection gun is powerful enough to
penetrate gloves, boots and clothing.
NB: The Schipmatic Pulse 250 has been developed to administer mass injections of iron
preparations, commonly used vaccines and serums.
Certain antibiotics and high-viscosity liquids
may cause technical problems. Injection by MS Pulse 250 is not recommended in these cases.
