Cleaning
Instructions
Your coffeemaker
be cleaned when you begin to notice excessive steaming or the
brewing time increases considerably. This condition is caused by a buildup of lime and
mineral
from your water. If the pumping action stops before all the water has
been pumped out of the machine, then the appliance requires cleaning.
The frequency of cleaning depends on the hardness of water used. The following table
gives the suggested cleaning intervals.
1 .
Place one cup of undiluted white household vinegar and one cup of tap water into
the mug. Pour the water/vinegar mixture into the water
2 .
Place the mug on the rubber base and press the ON switch.
3 .
Let all the water/vinegar mixture flow through then discard the mixture.
4 .
To
flush
of vinegar, pour a mug full of tap water into the
water reservoir and press ON switch.
5 .
Discard water and repeat steps 4 and 5.
Unplug the
Coffee
before cleaning. The fitter basket, permanent fitter,
mug, and mug lid may be washed in soapy water and rinsed or washed in the top rack of
your dishwasher. Do not use harsh abrasives on insulated stainless steel mug
models only). The exterior of the Mr. Coffee
can be
wiped with a damp cloth.
