4. Use of the device
4.1 First start-up
Do not connect the device and its accessories with visible mechanical damage or if you
notice the device is over.
When storing the device, do not roll it up too tightly, as this can affect the life of
individual keys or the whole unit. For the same reason, do not stretch or twist the
product.
Unpack the device and accessories from the package. Unravel the drums and put them
on a stable, flat, firm, horizontal and surface. Power supply - connect the USB-C plug
of the supplied cable to the USB-C connector on the unit, and connect the other plug
to the mains-powered USB adapter (not supplied). On/Off switch set into
ON
. POWER
diode lights up red.
To turn the unit off, set the
ON/OFF
switch to the
OFF
position.
4.2. Use
The
VOL-
and
VOL+
buttons are used to decrease and increase the volume level
respectively.
Each time you press one of the volume control buttons, the volume level changes by
one degree, accompanied by a short beep. The percussion has 10 volume steps
(including total mute), with the default turned on at step six.
The drums have 7 different tones (drum and cymbal sounds) which are changed by
pressing the
STYLE
button.
The
DEMO
button starts a demonstration mode in which the device plays one of
twelve rhythmic backings stored in its memory. Subsequent presses of the
DEMO
button switch the track being played to the next track - when the last track is reached,
pressing the
DEMO
button returns to the first track in the list. To switch off the
demonstration mode press the
START/STOP
button.
In demo mode the pads work normally and you can play along with the backing track.
REC
button switches on video record. Once the user has played a drum track, it can be
played back by pressing the
PLAY
button. Pressing the
REC
button during recording
or playback deletes the existing recording and starts recording again.
When playing back the recording, the pads function normally and you can play along
with the pre-recorded track. The record function does not save the recording
permanently in the device. The recording is lost when recording is restarted or when
the drums are switched off.
