Nutdriver
In some processes of mechanical assembly, there may be a case that you need to turn a nut
instead of a screw, when the screw is fixed already, for instance. Also in some cases, it is
better to turn the nut securing the screw with a screwdriver in order to fasten them tightly. The
nutdriver is used in such cases. The nutdriver has the hexagonal opening at its end to hold the
nut. As the nut size differs, you need to choose the nutdriver with a suitable size for each nut.
・
Hex key (Allen key)
The hexagon head screws are used sometimes as well as the slotted head screws and cross-
recessed head screws. The hex key is a tool to turn the hexagon head screw. There is a driver
type hex key and a L-shape type hex key. The hex key also has to be a suitable size for the
hexagon on the screw head.
・
Wire stripper
It is a tool for stripping off the insulation of the wire. You can use the diagonal cutter as a
stripper but you may cut off the conductors inside, if you put too much power. The wire
stripper has the holes with different sizes for various wires and helps to strip the wire easily
and neatly.
The tools mentioned here are mainly used for handicrafts. There are many other tools for the
vehicles, constructions, and other machines. It will be fun to check out the various tools you
have not seen before.
The following tools are not used for building this robot but are often used for electronic and
mechanical assembly.
