The timer is useful when you wish to open MouseCaster or change channels automatically.
Setting the Start Time
1.
Click the timer button to open the Timer window
(see Figure 12, item 7
).
2.
If at any time you wish to close the window or stop the process, select
Cancel
.
3.
Set the start time and duration in minutes
(see
Figure 23
).
For example
: At 12:30 you want to switch to another channel and then after 5 minutes to
switch back.

Setting the Repeat Activity Function
This window is similar to the Record Window.
Off
:
Shuts off the timer.
Once
:
Starts the timer at the stated time and does not repeat the activity again.
Minutes
:
Repeats programmed activity every X minutes.
Hours
:
Repeats programmed activity every X hours, such as every hour to listen to
the news.
Daily:
Repeats programmed activity every X days.
Select
Cancel
if you wish to exit without setting the timer.
Press
Timer On
when finished to process the request. The
Timer Clock
appears in the
channel display area, showing that the timer is set. When the timer begins its countdown,
say, during the news, the clock will blink repeatedly until the timer shuts off.
Stopping the Timer
1.
Open the
Timer Window
if not already open.
2.
Press
Timer Off
to stop the timer.
