PERIODIC REVIEWS
For proper operation, stop the Mini Bike, the spark plug
must be calibrated, clean and in good condition.
To clean the spark plug you must:
1.Locate the rubber cable on the right side under the gas
tank of the
Mini Bike
, see image 10.
2.Disconnect the spark plug cap.
3.Clean any dirt around the base of the spark plug.
4.Remove the spark plug with a 19mm wrench from the
same contrary to the clock hands.
5.Clean the spark plug of carbon deposits and oil.
6.Check the calibration of the spark plug electrodes,
which should be 0.6 to 0.7mm, see image 10.
7.Install the spark plug, tighten first with your hand,
then finish tightening with the 19mm wrench, and apply
a torque of 15 to 18 N-m (11 to 13 lbs.ft).
8.Place the hood on the cap.
9.Check that the cap is holding the spark plug correctly.
Note:
We recommend that you go to an Authorized
MotoTec
Service Center to have the spark plug cleaned.
Note:
If the spark plug electrode showed erosion, sediment or
the calibration is not adequate, go to your Service Center
nearest
MotoTec
authorized to be replaced.
The filter has the function of capturing all the impurities
that exist in the air to extend the useful life of the engine,
so it must be changed or cleaned at each maintenance service.
See Maintenance Services page 23. The air filter is located
on the rear of the engine. To remove the air filter you must:
1.Remove the lid very carefully by unhooking the tabs and
holding them with the air filter assembly.
2.Remove the filter element, see image 11.
3.Clean the air filter and replace it.
4.Place the air filter and switch in its position.
