The Preferences button in the main menu of an added NO
X
monitor opens the NO
X
Setup view.
Note that changes in this view are not saved and applied by the NO
X
monitor until you exit the
view. Also note that you can only edit the NO
X
monitoring parameters after you have entered the
serial number of the engine to be monitored under Serial Number .
You can make the following settings:
– Mode
Use the drop-down list to set the NO
X
monitoring mode:
– Off
NO
X
monitoring is disabled. The nitrogen oxide and oxygen readings from the NO
X
sen-
sor are not recorded.
– Recording Only
The nitrogen oxide and oxygen readings from the NO
X
sensor are recorded, but NO
X
mon-
itoring is deactivated.
– MAP Naturally Aspirated
For normal operation detection of the NO
X
monitor, the absolute charging pressure of a
naturally aspirated engine serves as an indicator for the engine load. For this purpose, a
manifold pressure sensor must be connected to input 3 of the respective CAN bus mod-
ule (see
Wiring of Manifold Pressure Sensor, MAP Signal, Load Signal on page 64).
