Hardware Preparation and Installation

Overview
The following table lists the things you will need to do before you can use
this board and tells where to find the information you need to perform each
step. Be sure to read this entire chapter, including all cautions and
warnings, before you begin.
Unpacking Guidelines
Note
If the shipping carton is damaged upon receipt, request that the
carrier’s agent be present during the unpacking and inspection of
the equipment.

Unpack the hardware.
Configure the hardware by setting
jumpers on the motherboard.
Install the motherboard in the chassis.
Ensure that DIMM memory module(s)
are properly installed on the
motherboard.
If applicable, install a PCI adapter board
on the motherboard.
PCI Adapter Board Installation (Optional)
Connect other equipment you will be
using.
For more information on optional devices and
equipment, refer to the documentation
provided with the equipment.
Verify the hardware is installed.
Power up the equipment.
