Conducting a Local Search

With this feature, you can search a database of predefined businesses and other points of interest.

You can conduct a local search by pressing

Main Menu > Local Search

. The

Local Search

screen is

shown below. If you know the name of the location you are searching for, type the name in the keyword
field and press

Search

. A list of results is shown. Press the

Map

button to see the locations on the map

screen.

If you are searching for the nearest location of a specific type (for example: Restaurant) enter the
category and press

Search

. Certain categories allow you to select a specific sub-category. Select

All

to

keep the search broad.

If you are searching for a location that is near your destination or some other location, change the

Search near

: field.

To begin navigation, press

Go

after selecting your chosen location.
