Configuring TCP/IP in Windows Vista

Click 

Start.

Right click on 

Network

Scroll down to 

Properties.

Click 

Manage network connections.

Right-click on the appropriate (if more than one listing) Local Area Connection.

Click 

Properties

. Vista may prompt you for permission to continue  – Click Continue.

Select 

Internet Protocol Version4 (TCP/IPv4)

 and click 

Properties

Verify that the 

Obtain an IP address automatically

 and 

Obtain DNS server address 

automatically

 options are selected.

Click 

Advanced

. Use the table below to verify the Advanced TCP/IP Settings:
