, the
DHCP Server Configuration
page appears.
m
The Ser ver configuration determines the functionality of your DHCP Settings. This functionality enables
the Gateway to assign your LAN computer(s) a “private” IP address and other parameters that allow
network communication. This feature simplifies network administration because the Gateway maintains
a list of IP address assignments. Additional computers can be added to your LAN without the hassle of
configuring an IP address. This is the default mode for your Gateway.
◆
Router IP Address:
Specifies the IP address of the Gateway itself.
◆
Subnet Mask:
Specifies the subnet for DHCP clients on the LAN side of the gateway. Defaults to the
common Class C subnet.
◆
DHCP Start Address:
Specifies the first address in the DHCP address range. You can reser ve a
sequence of up to 253 IP addresses within a subnet, beginning with the specified address, for
dynamic assignment.
◆
DHCP End Address:
Specifies the last address in the DHCP address range.
◆
DHCP Lease:
Specifies the default length for DHCP leases issued by the Gateway. Enter lease time
in dd:hh:mm:ss (days/hours/minutes/seconds) format.
◆

Uncheck this setting if you already have a DHCP ser ver on your LAN. This
enables the DHCP ser ver in this Gateway.
