Turning Scan On and Off

 

The capability to turn scan on and off is available as an option 
key.

Press the “Scan” soft option key. The unit will affiliate with the 
selected mode. Press the “S Off” soft option key to disable scan.

  

When Scan is disabled, you will not have access to your second-
ary talkgroups.

 

Talkgroup Mode Selection by Direct Entry

 

You may select a different Talkgroup Mode at any time.

1. Press the 

 key. To erase a digit, press 

. To clear all dig-

its, press and hold 

. To return to your previously selected 

Talkgroup Mode, press the “Cancl” option key.

 2. Press the 

key.

3. Press the PTT button or the “Ok” 
option key. “Mode 18” will flash until affil-
iation is complete. If you selected the 
Talkgroup Mode by pressing the PTT 
button, you will initiate a call on your Pri-
mary Talkgroup.
