Chapter 8
Collaboration with LMR Radios
Radio Services
is a free application available on the device that enables the LEX device to connect
with a Land Mobile Radio (LMR).
Bluetooth-equipped devices can communicate without wires, using frequency-hopping spread
spectrum (FHSS) radio frequency (RF) to transmit and receive data in the 2.4 GHz Industry Scientific
and Medical (ISM) band (802.15.1).
Bluetooth operates within a range of 10 meters (32 feet) line of sight. This is an unobstructed path
between your radio and your Bluetooth enabled device.
The user can connect the LEX device with a Land Mobile Radio (LMR). The supported radios are:
TETRA MTP3000 series radios
TETRA MTP6000 series radios.
When in collaborative mode with a TETRA radio, the LEX device supports both half-duplex private
calls and group PTT calls sent to and from the TETRA radio.
