Making a Telephone Call
This feature allows you to make calls similar to standard phone
calls to a mobile or landline phone.
Procedure:
Press the preprogrammed
Quick Access (One-Touch) Phone
Call
button to dial the preprogrammed phone number and
proceed to Step 5.

display shows the last transmitted phone number.

button directly below

to scroll
through and select the required ID.

Use the keypad to enter the required phone number.

Press and release the
PTT
button to dial the phone number.

Hold the microphone vertically 1 to 2 inches (2.5 to 5.0 cm)
from your mouth.

When your call is answered, press the
PTT
button to talk.

Release the
PTT
button to listen.

Press
H
to return to the Home screen.

Repeater or Direct Operation
The
REPEATER
operation increases the radio’s range by
connecting with other radios through a repeater. The transmit
and receive frequencies are different.
The
DIRECT
or “talkaround operation” allows you to bypass the
repeater and connect directly to another radio. The transmit and
receive frequencies are the same.
Procedure:
Press the preprogrammed
Repeater/Direct
switch to toggle
between talkaround and repeater modes.
