NOTE:
Ensure shoulder straps are not being caught between child’s
back and the car seat as this can make tightening more difficult.
Always check and ensure shoulder straps are level or in the closest
position allowable for your installation mode.
NOTE:
Always tighten the harness by pulling the adjuster strap straight.
CAUTION:
When tightening harness.
Tightening the Harness:
Before pulling on adjuster strap to tighten
harness, pull on harness shoulder straps first
to remove slack from the waist area.
Once slack is removed, pull on adjuster strap
so that the harness fitment over the shoulders
is firm.
Pinch the straps near the top of the shoulder
to check for desired tension, this is achieved
when you are unable to pinch any belt.
You may need to use a ratchet motion
(firm, short pulls) after tightening to remove
additional slack.
When the car seat is installed rearward facing, tighten
harness by pulling the adjuster strap up and straight as
shown in
image a
.
Avoid pulling the strap at an angle as this could accelerate
wear and decrease longevity of use.
When the car seat is installed in forward facing, tighten
harness by pulling the adjuster strap forward and straight
as shown in
image b.
Avoid pulling the strap at an angle as this could accelerate
wear and decrease longevity of use.
